Megastreaming Does It Work?

hiding God

addition to the churches, the museums, theater, art and concert halls, houses of worship of modernity. The authors - musicians, writers, theologians, and cultural studies - issued in this book in search of the eternal in the cultural life of the present.

Where is God? This question is of the essence of faith. Who asks this question, is quite certain that the Supreme has indeed hidden, but not absent. is made so loud and clear this issue in almost all religions, have ambiguous the answers are. The purpose of this book is to give visibility to where and how the Abrahamic religions take shape in the forms of culture - in music, theater, literature, architecture, painting, and not least in the streets or in lanes of everyday life. God does not need to be far away if he keeps hidden in the middle of us. This book seeks.

How To Look Good In A Bikini Without Abs

news from the South Pole

we get nothing by myself, although that would have been a great excuse for the long blog-silence. But maybe someone remembers to my entry from mid-March that the penguin was stolen from the university. Well, he's back , or rather, his cousin has stood this week at the old location - only better secured. The only question is for how long.

Eröffnung 09. Oktober 20:00 Uhr

Der Kunstverein München freut sich mit „Rip It Up And Start Again“ die erste, überwiegend von Co-Kuratoren entworfene Ausstellung präsentieren to be allowed. At the same time it will be the last exhibition of the outgoing Director Stefan Kalmar, who runs since July 2009, Artists Space in New York.

"Rip It Up and Start Again", unite as a special conclusion of the five years of curatorial work, Stefan Kalmar five already deceased artists. Four of the five artistic positions shown are represented respectively by a guest curator of the contemporary cultural studies and artistic environment of the artist.

Gegebenes Ende war der geplante Abrisszeitpunkt des Gebäudes, and so had to be improvised: a challenge for all involved. Now we show the results of the experiment: only works

Lorena Herrera Rashid
Acapulco Golden - Installation on the roof garden

second - 31st October 2009
Eröffnung: Donnerstag, 1. Oktober 2009 , 19–21 Uhr

Goldglänzend dreht on the roof garden of the gallery Ruediger Schoettle a six-foot high plant with elongated leaves. The autumn sun reflected on the metal surface and disappear at times the viewer. "Acapulco Golden" names the artist Lorena Herrera Rashid their installation, in reference to the city of Acapulco in her native Mexico .

The title sounds like exoticism, referring to the glamorous resort on the Pacific, at the famous beaches of Hollywood stars celebrated wild parties and where today the "Clavadistas" to the Cliffs of La Quebrada "in the eyes of the international jet-set from a dizzy height plunge into the waves.

" Acapulco Gold" is also the name of a cannabis plant from the area of Acapulco, the botanist, the metal plant on the roof garden certainly long been recognized as such. This exposes that which shone just golden in autumn light, its dark Down side: memories of gang violence and the ruthless drug lords are growing richer - including Acapulco is the site of the Mexican drug wars.

Thus, the first Lorena Herrera Rashid's work on these two, conflicting sides: The plant is a luxurious, made of brass icon of the hippie movement, and a monument to the political and social injustices in Mexico at the same time. Striking is the discrepancy between the aesthetically pleasing form and content of social problems denouncing the other. The viewer is in a dilemma, got something to admire beauty, but its negative context refers not admirable - quite the contrary. It is not gold that glitters.

Lorena Herrera Rashid, born in 1972 in Mexico City, lives and works in Munich. you studied sculpture with Professor Olaf Metzel at the Academy of Fine Arts in Munich.

Fabian B. Larsson, Johann lurfas
opening October 02 at 19h30 on the 1st floor of Lothringer13
Pressevoreröffnung from 18h
03 - 30.10.2009
curated by Sebastian Stein
Hiervon ausgehend leisten  Plantage  (2006 – 2009) und  Vertigo Rush (2007) on the one hand a critique of representation of photography and film go, but the other one step further and create new representations of their own nature. If you like, create their Larsson and Lurf their own images of reality.

The two artists grow in their work, ambiguous, open and flowing images of nature, often mit seltsam kühlen, glatten, leicht unheimlichen und verstörenden Untertönen.

Reaktion auf die heutige Bilderflut (ihre Komprimierung), Sinnbild für a reference-free hyper real characters thunderstorms (Baudrillard), which forms the world after its own will (modern) or simply the realization that all we can really represent the world only from a more or less abstract and emotionally charged "noise" can be - Vertigo Rush and plantation provide the basis for a variety of reflections.

The end of the insomnia

Instead, he leads an encapsulated life with his mother. He fails to resolve to permanently from their own goals and lives without meaning. When he is thirty years old, he's planning even a murder. Now he kills the murderer of his father, who received for their actions only a prison sentence of five and a half years. After Indeed, he flees to New York. Twenty-three days he has time - longer not enough money - to himself and the reader accountability. If the fact to justify in any way? Should he face? Or will he finally be able to live a life of its own?
time jumps and a fragmentary narrative reflected in the first part of the novel reflects the character of the protagonist, as his life is still open. In the second part, he says coldly and precisely from the preparation and execution of the deed. These diary entries from New York but also of his attest simultaneously naive and self-righteous desire, with the completed act of revenge again inner peace - and sleep - to be found.

Meningitis Rashes Itchy

Arthur's Day both traffic

are probably the most lasting impressions from my short trip to Ireland last week. Galway Oyster Festival and there were not too bad, but it is a story and photos another time
But from the beginning: we were last week for five days in western Ireland, first in the House of Tara's parents and then in Galway. Arthur's Day on Thursday was named after Arthur Guinness. On 24 September 1759 was the first poured Guinness, and the 250th Birthday was celebrated with a toast to Arthur at exactly 17:59. The countdown was broadcast all day on television, the toast itself was allowed to say Tom Jones - although the Welshman is not Ire. Then there were several concerts that were to be seen as clipping on television. We were at the time in a small pub in Westport, a small town in County Mayo the day after we were there curved around. The pub owner has to just six guests all the Guinness had no right to just placed an order really everyone could celebrate with. So I've come so for the first Guinness of my life. If I had known that it's not tastes like beer, I would not have waited so long.
As with public transport in West Ireland looks rather bad, we rented a car, and Kara and I were chauffeured to the honor of our group through the area. Since automatic cars would have been much more expensive, Kara got a crash course in driving with gears. She learned quickly, but since then I have a new respect for people who were initially married into my car.
Tara had warned us about the roads in Ireland, but we really believed her not that the roads there are no fun. She had right of course. Very narrow streets, secluded corners, potholes, 90 ° curves in front of narrow bridges and bumps which extend over only a portion of the road width is enough to set the speed limit of 100km / h on a bit of work to be scornful. The left side is compared with almost no problem. Only in the roundabout, the switch a bit heavy. Perhaps the streets are
there intentionally designed so that you have to drive slowly. Finally, you can thus enjoy the scenery better, and that is fantastic in this area. It also makes it less when cows and sheep in the middle of the road want, you can brake loose. And wait, and enjoy the scenery. Leave

How To Get Motorcycle License In Iowa

I wanted

been around for a few days, two films I've seen in recent times in the cinema. One of them, "Inglourious Basterds" has been running for so long that I tell anybody what new (for completeness: he really liked me, and I would absolutely recommend the original version, as the film is in four languages anyway).
The other, "District 9", is recommended, although clearly difficult to describe. It is a pseudo-documentary about a group of aliens that has spent 20 years in a ghetto of Johannesburg, and now to be resettled. The Head of Resettlement, is contaminated with an agent and is converted slowly into one of them. This human / alien, although the main character, the popular figure but one of the alien and his son. Given the fact that these things are really ugly, that's an accomplishment. The film is very funny, very exciting and about half also very socially critical, which is well above all at the scene. But then it is enough with the moral leg, so the change for the action film really does not interfere. The film is a bit disgusting, but highly recommended. Only just, as I said, hard to describe.
will soon be the way finally "The Hobbit" film. The book template has been released 72 years ago, and the thought the Times was already on the book.

For Nika Kupyrova the city is a reservoir of images. As urban explorers they studied the original material of her photographs and installations in the things of everyday life. Checked and they become useless detaches from its surroundings and condenses it to fragmentary landscapes that oscillate between fiction and alienation of the familiar memories of real life. The result is poetic tales of found and invented.

for the fourth time the awards lothringer13/laden this year in partnership with the Association of Artists DOKU eV the DOLORES scholarship: a two-month residency for an artist or an artist from abroad, a place to live in the Domagkateliers, the use of the shopping arcade includes a temporary studio and a final exhibition in lothringer13/laden.
