For Nika Kupyrova the city is a reservoir of images. As urban explorers they studied the original material of her photographs and installations in the things of everyday life. Checked and they become useless detaches from its surroundings and condenses it to fragmentary landscapes that oscillate between fiction and alienation of the familiar memories of real life. The result is poetic tales of found and invented.

for the fourth time the awards lothringer13/laden this year in partnership with the Association of Artists DOKU eV the DOLORES scholarship: a two-month residency for an artist or an artist from abroad, a place to live in the Domagkateliers, the use of the shopping arcade includes a temporary studio and a final exhibition in lothringer13/laden. This project aims at linking local cultural sector with international artists and insight into artistic practices on the edge of the first art market. With FISH FINGERS Nika Kupyrova is present in lothringer13/laden an extensive installation and photographic works.
